1

RICS Home Survey Level 1

What is it?
A high quality RICS approved report carried out by one of Marlbrooks’s RICS accredited local Surveyors. The RICS Home Survey Level 1 (formerly known as a ‘Condition Report’) provides an insight into the condition of the property, highlighting issues that should be identified before you buy or sell a residential property.
• An inspection of the condition of the property.
• Confirms the structure and fabric of various elements in the property.
• Highlights any potential defects or issues the property may present ahead of the sale.
• Legal issues that need to be addressed before completing your conveyancing and information on location, local environment and the recorded energy efficiency.
Is this the right Survey for me?
Particularly suited to new build properties or those under 80 years old.
A conventional house, flat or bungalow.
A property in reasonable condition.
Built from traditional common building materials.

RICS Home Survey Level 2

What is it?
A high quality RICS approved Survey carried out by one of Marlbrooks’s RICS accredited local Surveyors. The RICS Home Survey Level 2 (formerly known as an ‘RICS HomeBuyer Survey’) is an informative, reliable, and cost-effective report providing clear and concise advice regarding any serious problems or specific risks a property may have.
It uses a traffic-light condition rating system and is suitable for simple, traditional properties that appear in reasonable condition. It can include an opinion of market value.

Available in two versions: Survey Only and Survey with Valuation.

RICS Home Survey Level 3

What is it?
A high quality RICS approved Survey carried out by one of Marlbrooks’s RICS accredited local Surveyors. An RICS Home Survey Level 3 (formerly known as a ‘Building Survey’) is a detailed inspection of each of the external and internal elements of a property, as far as they are accessible. It includes photographs of particular issues and advice on what to do next.

Particularly suited to properties built before 1900.
A large, older or run-down property.
An unusual, altered or non-traditional property.
Listed buildings or properties within a conservation area.
